but I love discussing show theories as much as the next person with no life, so here goes, for people who nit pick at every detail and think, omg, that time back in season 1 when so & so said this line, that’s a huge part of what’s happening now in season 5. NO. I’m 99.99% sure that not even the writers know half of the time what their story is going to be. This particularly pertains to this fascination with The Vampire Diaries and Elena’s ‘choice’. Julie has no idea what she wants to happen. That is evident from all the fucking nonsense flip-flopping she’s done throughout this series. The books can’t be a definitive play by play because the series has veered so far from the books it isn’t even funny. At this point, let’s just assume that Julie is borrowing the characters and deciding what to do with them. She may bring in other character’s names and create someone totally new (i.e Meredith Fell) & she may touch upon relationships, but you can’t look at her track record & make even the slightest assumption that she has any idea of how she wants this to turn out. She struggles to write each week’s episode for fuck’s sake. She’s not secretly planning the finale of a sixth or seventh season while writing episode 1 of season 1. She’s winging it. And pissing fans off hardcore in the process. So just quit with the foreshadowing, and the “in the books this happened so that means the writers will most likely touch upon it somewhat in the tv series…” NO. Just enjoy it, and when it starts to veer off track (which it most definitely has), throw your fucks into the wind and become obsessed with something else.

I’m actually starting to forget that the characters in TVD are vampires because they never do anything exciting anymore…we hardly ever see their abilities anymore…BORING.
